Tees To Green

Through some trial and error and a little help from his sister, Ethan Redman found a skill that he wants to share with his fellow golfers. And he’s quite good at it.

Whether you’re playing with your buddies or joining another group, your headcovers can be a point of conversation and inject a little life into your round. Golf is a social game after all!

Explain the Name. Why Tees To Green?

I was originally looking at making yardage books to start. Tees to Green encompassed the area of what you would need measured for on a yardage book (from the tee box to the green). I think the name will still be fitting as I look to add more products to the golf catalog.

What made you want to get in the golf industry?

I wanted to make something custom for my golf bag. Something that was going to be a little different than what comes standard or what everyone else has. I made a couple for myself and some friends were interested in getting some as well. I enjoy making the head covers, and take pride knowing that someone else likes them enough to have them in their golf bag.

Where do you draw inspiration for your designs?

Often I will just see some fabrics and think they could be made into something cool. The idea kinda snowballs and gains momentum until the final product. I love sports so if I can do more things centred around that I will be happy. I like the plaid patterns as well, it makes me think of golf. I enjoy chatting with golfers about ideas they have.

Why headcovers? Where does this skill for design and tailoring come from?

If you would have told me 3 years ago that I would have been making golf head covers I wouldn't have believed you. At that time, I wasn't very interested in golf, and I certainly didn't know how to sew. My sister is very creative. Since she was little she was making bags, purses, necklaces, all kinds of cool crafts. So when I had the idea of making a head cover she was very supportive. She helped me with my first design, how to set up a sewing machine and where to get fabrics.

#GolfLifeAB to me means community. Talking about your passion is amplified when you can do it with people who share your interests. It is a great opportunity to interact with people in the golf community, see why they golf, what their backgrounds are, how their other hobbies merge into their golf game.
